Homemade Chicken Alfredo Pizza



Alfredo Pizza Sauce Recipe

2 tablespoons butter
1 clove garlic, minced
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
salt
pepper

To make the sauce, first melt the butter in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and red pepper flakes and cook. Add the flour and cook until light blonde in color. Whisk in the cream, reduce the heat to low, and let simmer until thickened, about 2 minutes. Stir in Parmesan and season lightly with salt and pepper, to taste.

Double the recipe to make enough sauce for two pizzas


Pizza Dough Recipe

2 Tbsp yeast
2 1/2 cups warm (110F) water
2 tsp raw honey
2 tsp salt
1/4 cup olive oil
6 cups flour

Combine water and honey; mix well. Add yeast to water mixture. Let proof. You'll know it's ready when it's sort of foamy looking. In a bowl combine flour and salt; mix well. When yeast is proofed, pour yeast mixture and olive oil into the bowl with the flour mixture. Mix well. Let rest for about 20 minutes. Turn the dough out onto a floured board and roll or pat into the shape of your pizza pan.

Place pizza dough onto a pizza pan that has been sprinkled with flour or cornmeal.

Makes enough for two pizzas


Other ingredients

3/4 pound cooked chicken
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese
1 cup grape tomatoes (or chopped tomatoes)

Double these ingredients to make two pizzas


Assembling the Pizzas

To assemble the pizzas, first make the pizza dough and spread it in your pans. Top with the sauce, spread evenly over the tops of the pizza dough.

Then sprinkle the chicken and tomatoes evenly across the top of the sauce. Finish by sprinkling the cheese evenly across the top of the pizzas. Bake in a preheated 450F oven for 20 minutes.
