and I'm really avoiding it this year.

The top searches this month on the blog have been:

1. canning ground beef

2. canning turnips

3. canning acorn squash

I have a bowl of ripe tomatoes sitting on the dining room table along with eggplant and zucchini and I'm giving serious consideration to dehydrating them this year. I can't fool myself into thinking I can keep ahead of the garden yield by exclusively dehydrating the veggies instead of canning them, but for today I can avoid canning yet another day.

How about you? Are you one of the many, many visitors landing here because of one of my canning tutorials? Or are you, like I am this year, looking for ways to avoid the hot steamy kitchen? :)
